Hello Friends! These last few months serving here in the Basque region have been full of many exciting opportunities. A few of my recent areas of ministry are: Tolosa Bible Study Every Sunday evening the Tolosa Bible study meets in the city's cultural center. Together we enjoy a great time of singing, prayer, and a message from the Word. At this point we only have people coming from the Beasain church. Last Sunday, before the study, Jason (dark blue, to my right) and I walked around the city passing out tracts, with the goal of witnessing and inviting people to the study. Intensive Institute at Aierdi This Saturday we had our 30th Intensive Institute at the Aierdi Farmhouse. About 80 believers, mostly from the 3 churches here in the Basque region, enjoyed 5 hours of teaching on the book of Jonah. The guest speaker was Pastor David Bell, from Southern Spain. Beasain Congregation Last week Dani, Santi, Jason and I sang a special number at church. I am so grateful to see the work that God has done in their hearts during this last year! Our little church building is packed out every week, and we are praying and taking steps towards renting a larger building. English Classes I have begun to teach some private English classes in Beasain, both for a source of income, and also for the ministry contacts it will provide. I believe the Lord is leading me in this direction as a means of partially supporting my missions work. Please pray that the Lord would provide the necessary work and funds for my personal and ministry expenses. This last month there has been a lot of work going on at the farmhouse. We have been preparing it for the intensive institute, and the upcoming Missionary Teen Retreat. Prayer Requests:
-For the salvation of my English students: Maider, Xabi, Imanol, Alex, Izar, and Maria. -For a ministry contact from the city of Tolosa. At this point all those who attend the Bible study are from our Beasain congregation. -The building we are looking at renting for the Beasain congregation. Thank you very much for your prayers! Danny Hello Friends! The various ministries here in the Basque Region of Northern Spain are going very well. My schedule has settled down a little, after a busy June with mission teams and visitors. I really appreciate your prayers during this time of preparation as I seek the Lord's guidance for my future ministry here among the Basques. Services in the Beasain ChurchI am thoroughly enjoying the opportunity to serve in Iglesia Bautista Esperanza Viva in Beasain. My primary involvement is in the teaching and music ministries. Evangelism in TolosaThis summer Randy Wilkins and I are focusing on literature distribution in the city of Tolosa. Please pray that the Lord would use the tracts we hand out and the contacts we meet as we begin to plant a church in this city in the coming years. Work at AierdiI am also spending a good bit of time working at the Aierdi farmhouse. This past week we rented a small track hoe, and I enjoyed working on several projects that needed attention. Prayer Requests:
-That God would give wisdom with my graduate studies and church work. -For the Lord's guidance in the Tolosa ministry. -That the Lord would work in the hearts of my unsaved contacts here in the Basque Country. Thank you very much for your prayers! Danny |
